Neighbourhood Earth is an award winning, multi sensory, immersive space experience, combining cutting edge technology with the latest in science, to tell the story of space exploration like never before!

Developed in conjunction with the U.S. Space & Rocket Center and NASA’s George C. Marshall, audiences will be transported away far across the galaxy through a multi-sensory cinematic environment.

AN IMMERSIVE JOURNEY

Travel across the solar system and come face-to-face with Mars sunsets, Venus lightning storms and the surface of Jupiter. Neighbourhood Earth is an exhibition that not only encourages you to leave the house, but the planet, in an experience that can only be... experienced.

After attracting millions of visitors around the world, Neighbourhood Earth heads to Sydney for its Australian premiere from November 22, for a strictly limited time only.

Covid Safety

Covid Safety


The health and safety of all guests remains our ultimate priority. The NEIGHBOURHOOD EARTH experience is built to be completely Covid-safe and to exceed government public health guidelines. Controlled visitor capacities through hourly timed sessions and 5000 square meters of floor space allow for considerably more than the recommended square meters per person, and managed visitor flow means that guests can easily respect social distancing advice.

The exhibition also meets the highest hygiene standards with hand sanitisers and daily deep cleaning. Further safety measures include contactless entry through advance ticket sales; unidirectional people flow managed throughout the event and adherence to all government regulations.




Covid Check In


As mandated by the NSW government, all guests will need to complete a Covid check-in when entering the ICC. You will be required to register using the Service NSW QR code. Please have the latest version of the Service NSW app downloaded on your phone.




Vaccination Requirement


Regarding vaccination requirement for all guests and staff, we will be following advice from NSW Health and adhering to all government mandates.




Mandatory Mask Wearing


In accordance with NSW Health advice, masks are mandatory for those aged 12+ unless you have a medical exemption.




What happens if the event cannot go ahead because of a lockdown or other reason?


In the unlikely event that Neighbourhood Earth is cancelled or postponed, all ticketholders will be refunded.

What is Neighbourhood Earth?


NEIGHBOURHOOD EARTH, is an award winning, multi-sensory, immersive space experience. Combining cutting edge technology with the latest in science, NEIGHBOURHOOD EARTH tells the story of space exploration like never before!

Developed in conjunction with the U.S. Space & Rocket Center and NASA’s George C. Marshall Space Flight Center, audiences will be transported away into space through a multi-sensory cinematic environment. Guests will travel across the solar system and come face-to-face with Mars sunsets, Venus lightning storms and the surface of Jupiter. Museum quality models, spacecrafts, tools, and astronaut suits will showcase the facts, stories and achievements behind space exploration and its future. Guests can also get hands on with fun and engaging interactive learning activities, holographics, touch sensing projections and building games!




How much time do I need for the experience?


Most visitors will spend between 60-90 minutes exploring the exhibition, but everyone is different and we encourage you to do it at your own pace.




Is it suitable for children?


Neighbourhood Earth is a child friendly event and offers an exciting opportunity for children to learn about space. Children under the age of 2 are permitted into the event without charge. Prams are also permitted inside the event.




Will there be Neighbourhood Earth merchandise for sale?


Yes, we have a range of merchandise available for sale at the event.




Can I take photos/ videos?


You are welcome and encouraged to take photos or videos throughout the event on your smart phone or with a small digital camera. Please note flash must be turned off. Professional cameras are not permitted inside the venue at any time unless prior approval is arranged.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?


ICC Sydney has equitable and step-free access to and throughout Neighbourhood Earth. Accessible toilets, ramps and spacious passenger lifts are available throughout the venue. Lowered or angled counters are located at key retail and customer service points.

A limited number of wheelchairs are available for hire free of charge. Wheelchairs can be collected from any customer service desk.

Can I bring food or drinks? Will I be able to purchase food & drinks at the expo?


Guests are not permitted to bring their own food or drinks into the event.

A café inside Hall 7 will be open throughout the event, serving meals, drinks and snacks.




EFTPOS


EFTPOS and credit card payments are accepted at all merchandise and concession stands. ICC Sydney accepts all major credit cards, debit cards and mobile/watch pay (Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay).

The venue does not accept Alipay or WeChat Pay.

Transport & Parking

When should I arrive?


Please arrive 15 minutes before your session time to ensure you can complete the relevant check-in.




Where is the venue?


Neighbourhood Earth is located in Hall 7 of the International Convention Centre (ICC).In the heart of Sydney, ICC Sydney is located in the active precinct of Darling Harbour on Cockle Bay, with a prime waterfront location.Hall 7 is located on the fourth floor of the ICC, next to the event deck.

Transport


Located in the heart of Darling Harbour, ICC Sydney is easily accessible by train, bus, light rail, coach and foot with only a 10-minute walk from Central and Town Hall train stations. Secure parking is available and conveniently located within the Darling Harbour precinct. ICC Sydney has multiple public access points with step-free access to every entertainment, exhibition and conference venue.

Train: Town Hall and Central Stations are a 10-minute walk from ICC Sydney

Light rail: The Light Rail travels right through a number of Darling Harbour stations including ICC Sydney’s stops: Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre. The Light Rail starts at Central Station in the CBD and travels to Dulwich Hill in the Inner West

Bus: Bus routes 389 and 501 stop at Harris Street near Allen Street – a 10-minute walk from ICC Sydney

Ferry: Cruise into Darling Harbour on a ferry with direct services from Circular Quay, King Street Wharf or Pyrmont Bay Wharf

Taxi/Drop off: The best taxi drop off and pick up locations include the new Iron Wharf Place and Zollner Circuit, both accessed via Darling Drive

Parking: ICC Sydney has two car parks located within the venue. There are a number of secure car parks located in and around Darling Harbour - the closest is located at Harbourside Car Park, 100 Murray Street, Pyrmont.

ICC Sydney has 800+ secure car parking spaces available. Vehicle entry height is 2.2m.Additionally, visitors can make use of a number of secure car parks located in and around Darling Harbour, the closest located at Harbourside Car Park, 100 Murray Street, Pyrmont. Ticketing

Do I need to bring my ticket with me to the event?


To enter the event you will need either a physical or a digital copy of your ticket for us to scan. If presenting a digital copy, please ensure the brightness on your device is at 100%.




What are the ticket prices?


Tickets start from $29 for adults and $15 for children but pricing varies slightly between sessions.




Is my ticket refundable?


Tickets are strictly non refundable except in the event of a cancellation.




I can’t attend anymore, can I give my ticket to a friend?


You are welcome to pass your ticket onto a friend. Name changes are not required, you can simply send your ticket to them. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.
